Guarantees & coverage
Warranty
Every duplicate we make is covered by a 1-year warranty, at minimum.
Repair or replacement, at our discretion. We always attempt a repair before issuing a replacement. The entire key must be sent in, at the customer's expense.
If a key stops working, contact us first. Many problems turn out to be a change to the building’s access system rather than the key itself, and we can often tell which from a short conversation.
Returns
90day money-back returns
You can return a duplicate within 90 days for a full refund of the product price. We provide a prepaid return label for domestic returns.
Refunds if we can’t copy your key
Before you order, you’ll see the published success rate for your key type. If we’re unable to duplicate your key, you receive a full refund of the product or service price.
Shipping: for keys with a published 100% success rate, we also refund the shipping fees you paid during checkout on domestic orders. For every other key, and for international orders, the shipping fees paid during checkout are the only part of an order that isn’t refundable.
Original key protection
We have never damaged a customer’s original key during processing. If your original key is ever permanently lost or damaged while it’s in our possession, our $265 Key Protection Guarantee helps cover the cost of replacing it.
Reprogramming
If your original key is deactivated or reissued, duplicates made from it stop working too. Reprogramming is free for 30 days after you receive your order, and $9.99 after that.

Price depends on the exact key or fob format. Many of our basic keys, for the easy, widely-supported formats, start around $20 and can be even lower with bulk ordering.

Processing times
You choose a processing level at checkout. For Mail-In orders, processing starts when your key arrives at our lab, and each level is handled in a set order every day.
Counted in business days. Keys received before noon (lab time) start processing that day.

Every Mail-In order is tracked. You get an email when your key arrives and another when your order ships back.
Guaranteed Shipping Refunds
A limited number of our shipping options, including USPS Priority Mail Express, include a money-back delivery guarantee. This guarantee is not available on all shipping options.
If the carrier’s tracking shows that your package was delivered after the guaranteed delivery time, we will submit the applicable refund request to the carrier. Once we receive the refund from the carrier, we automatically pass that refund on to you by refunding your shipping fee.
You do not need to contact us or request the refund. If your shipment qualifies and we receive a refund from the carrier, your shipping fee will be automatically refunded.
