Can you make a visually identical key?
You may find your exact key being sold in an online store. However, these keys nearly always come pre-programmed and are not truly “blank”. While it may seem like your landlord programs the keys, typically they are simply reading the data from the keys memory and logging it into the system to allow that key to be used.
We do have many styles of keys to choose from. We recommend looking through our choices as we often have similar options to choose from.
Can I send you my own key blanks?
Unfortunately, we have to use special RFID key blanks that are capable of emulating other keys. We cannot program customer supplied keys unless they were previously purchased from our company.
Do I get a refund if the key doesn't work?
All customers have 30 days to request a refund, from the date the keys have been received. We test all keys that leave our facility before shipment, so non-working keys are rare. We also cover the cost of return shipping (domestic customers only)
If you have issues with your keys please contact us by filling out a short questionnaire. A technician will review the results and get back to you within 1 business day.
Can you print my company logo on keys?
Yes, we offer printing services for commercial clients. Please contact us for further information.
Can I copy multiple RFID keys to one blank?
Due to how RFID technology works, it is not possible to copy two keys of the same frequency onto one key blank. Most keys operate on either 125Khz or 13.56Mhz. While it’s possible to combine two keys of different frequencies the need for this is uncommon.
For 125Khz RFID technology, most key fobs and access cards simply emit a unique serial number that the access control system recognizes. If a user were to try and combine two of these keys together the access control system would not be able to correctly read either of the keys.
While 13.56Mhz RFID technology does have built in features (Wiki singulation) that allow multiple keys to be read simultaneously we still cannot combine two keys into one since it would require a blank with two separate RFID chips.

Domestic customers can often receive their keys the next business day if checkout is completed before noon (CST) and Express shipping is selected. Before checkout, this service requires approval through our online application process. Applications typically take less than 5 minutes to complete and are often reviewed within 1 business hour.
Common Questions
How do I prove residency?
For our photo-based key copying services we require that our customers provide documentation indicating that they are the owner or legal user of the key they wish to copy. This is done by providing a utility bill, lease agreement, or other document containing the required information.
The document must contain the following:
- Customers Name
- Address (that the key works at)
- Issuing Date
- Issuers Company or Entity Name
Residential leases must be issued within the last 12 months. All other documents must be issued within the last 2 months.
TIP – Screenshots from online utility bills are acceptable.
TIP – Residential lease agreements are often very long. The first page, as long as it contains the above requirements, is acceptable. Leases with redacted information (rent amount, other tenants…etc) are also acceptable.
What Happens if my keys don't work?
Our Snap N’ Send services typically have about a 10% lower success rate than our Mail in service. This is due to the fact that during the programming process we cannot directly compare the original key to our duplicates. RFID based keys often come with unique formatting variances. Our database contains formatting notes on thousands of locations across the USA & Canada which we review as part of the services application process.
If you’re having issues with your key we will work with you to correct the problem. We have a 30-day money back guarantee which can be requested at any time during this period.

Is providing you my keys serial number safe?

We will never contact your landlord or property manager. We require the address that your key works at in order to retrieve critical programming information from our database.
What is the success rate?

For our serial number based Snap N’ Send service, we retrieve specific RFID formatting information for the key fob or access card that a customer is requesting copies of. While this method offers a high rate of success it does not allow us to directly compare the data programmed in the customers original key. In rare occurrences, small formatting variances can cause this method to function incorrectly.
If customers receive non-working keys we will work with them to correct the issue. We also offer a 30-day money back guarantee.
Due to forgeries, non-production models & other unforeseen factors there is always a small possibility that a key may not be duplicatable. All success rate percentages displayed are the result of data collected from the previous 12 months of operation to the end of the last completed calendar month.
I don't see any serial number, what are my options?
Most RFID based key fobs and access cards originally come with a printed serial number. This number often wears off after several years. Please carefully check the key under a strong light to ensure that the number isn’t still legible. If you cannot find your serial number we suggest considering our Mail In key copying service which offers a fast 2-day turnaround.

Our mailing instructions are provided during the checkout process and also emailed to customers after they have completed their order.
Do you provide a shipping label?
We do not provide shipping labels for this service. Customers are free to use any major shipping carrier. However, we do have extensive experience with carriers and provide recommendations in our mailing instructions.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept customer generated labels for the return shipping. We have a special extended pickup time that allows us to offer same-day processing which requires us to use specific labels. Due to our bulk shipping we offer lower shipping rates than those found at the post office.
What Happens if my keys don't work?
Our Mail-In services currently has a 100% success rate. If, in the unlikely event, a customer receives non-working key copies we will work with them to correct the issue. All of our keys come with a 30-day money back guarantee. Our Help & Support section has a brief questionnaire for customers experiencing issues. Once this questionnaire is submitted our team will contact the customer with the best course of action.
Important Note: A customer’s original key must stay active within the RFID access control system in order for our duplicates to work. If the customer moves out or reports their key lost, management will deactivate that key from their system — which makes all duplicates built off that key deactivate as well.
Tips for living without key for several days?
We understand that most of our customers use their key everyday and going without it can be a serious struggle. While everyone’s situation is slightly different we have had some customers find these tips useful.
Buzz Self Through Guest Intercom – If your building calls your cell phone to let guests in then using this method while you are without your key can be an excellent alternative.
Wait Until Traveling – If you have a vacation or work trip planned simply waiting until this is often a great idea. Figuring out how to gain access to your mailbox to retrieve your key is still required. Shipping your key to a friend or even where you are staying while away is possible.
Friendly Neighbor – Ask a neighbor to help for a few days!
Use Garage Remote – We don’t copy garage remotes and often apartment and condominiums do not have a locked internal door. Simply entering through the garage can be used as a temporary solution.
Guest Key – Some apartments and condominiums offer guest keys to their tenants. Using this while we copy the original key is sometimes an option. It’s important that the customer sends us their key and not the guest version as often the guest version gets deactivated when not in use.
Keep in mind, using Express overnight mail typically results in only being without your key for less than 2 business days (for domestic customers). If you send your key to us on a Monday we can turn it around and have it back to you by Wednesday.
