COMMON QUESTIONS

What does it cost?B

We typically cannot be beat when it comes to the best prices for RFID key copying. Our prices are based on the key blank selected during the checkout process and the number of copies you purchase. Starting at less than $20 for a single copy, our prices can drop below $12/key with our quantity discounts. See our pricing calculator below for more details.

Can this fob be copied to my phone?

The HID ProxKey III operates on a frequency that isn’t supported by iPhone, Android, or any other mobile devices that we’re aware of.

However, exclusively at CloneMyKey, we offer Mobile Key. We’ve designed this ultra-thin key to fit between your phone and its case. With interference-blocking technology it’s capable of cutting through the interference common with mobile phones, allowing you to simply tap your phone like your original key.

Will my key fob work on all doors?

YES, our key copies will work at all the locations where your original key does. If your original key ever gets updated to allow or restrict access to certain areas, our key copies will automatically update as well.

What if my key copies do not work?

If you encounter any issues simply contact us and our dedicated technical team will swiftly resolve the matter. You have a generous window of 90 days from the time of delivery to initiate a return for a full refund of the product price. For domestic customers, we even provide a convenient return label. Rest assured, we’re here to ensure your complete satisfaction with our products and services!

Is it legal to copy my key fob?

We’ve found no laws that distinguish between traditional metal keys and RFID-based key fobs. If it’s permissible to copy a standard metal key in your region, then it’s likely that copying a key fob is also allowed. In our business’s 10+ years of operation, we’ve duplicated thousands of keys and never have received any legal complaints from our customers.

For more information about considerations and legality of copying or “cloning” your key fob or access card, please refer to the “Permissibility & Consideration” section below.

I was locked out of my car and they arrived within 20 minutes. The technician was professional, efficient, and had me back on the road quickly. They didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need and the price was very fair. Will definitely use them again if I ever need locksmith services.
